To help offset the cost\, we are hosting a Badge Day for all Daisy’s and Brownies!  \n\n\n\nSelected Badges\n\n\n\n\nDaisies: Outdoor Art Maker badge\n\n\n\nBrownies: Outdoor Art Creator badge\n\n\n\n\nEvent Notes\n\n\n\n\nGirls will need to bring a water bottle.\n\n\n\nThis badge involves art and art can be messy so please keep that in mind when dressing for the event.\n\n\n\n\nCost\n\n\n\n$20 per Girl Scout. Cost includes all materials\, the cost of the badges\, and snacks for the day. You can be as creative as you like but this board usually gives facts about Girl Scouts in the region\, foods\, historic landmarks\, etc. Each scout will receive a passport upon check-in so when she visits each country\, they will receive a stamp from that country. \n\n\n\nItems to bring\n\n\n\nFor those troops who are representing a country\, there are a few items that should be prepared. \n\n\n\n\nA stamp that represents something from that country. \n\n\n\nSomething that represents a taste of your country (normally this is a food from your country\, but does not have to be).\n\n\n\nA SWAP to give out at your country’s table (a final number of attendees will be provided after the February 16 deadline.\n\n\n\n\nFlags for borrowing\n\n\n\nThe Service Unit has a variety of country flags that can be borrowed for use during World Thinking Day. DESCRIPTION:The CFSU troops come together to enjoy a weekend of fun and fellowship! Most of the weekend is planned by the individual Troops\, however the Investiture & Rededication Ceremony is scheduled for Saturday\, October 28. \n\n\n\nInvestiture is a ceremony that happens once per year to welcome new girls into the organization. The traditional audience is anyone who has not yet learned the Girl Scout Law & Promise\, whether they are 1st-year Daisies or new to Scouting.  \n\n\n\nIn addition to Investiture\, this ceremony will include a Rededication for all returning scouts as a way for the Girls to recommit to the Girl Scout Promise & Law for another year.  \n\n\n\nIn both instances\, this ceremony is very important to the girls and family support is encouraged – Parents and siblings are welcome to attend the ceremony!

DESCRIPTION:Daisy Troop 312 will be working on our Space Science Explorer badge\, and hosting a viewing event! \n\n\n\nOther Daisies from CFSU are welcome to join our Wednesday meeting on 10/11 at 6pm (at Eco Irrigation & Landscaping\, 1000 S. West Dr.) where we will do the majority of the official badge work. If you register for this option more details will be sent to you. \n\n\n\nANY level troop or Girl Scout is welcome to join us on Saturday 10/14 where we will make and decorate safe solar eclipse viewing boxes. All supplies will be provided. This can work towards a space science related badge for all levels! Girls will be able to visit tables hosted by groups of current Scouts for hands-on activities in the areas of Science\, Technology\, Engineering\, Art\, and Math. There will also be recruitment information available as well as a chance to sign-up your daughter to participate in Girl Scouts for the 2023-2024 program year! \n\n\n\nCost\n\n\n\n\nProspective Girl Scouts: No charge!\n\n\n\nCurrent Girl Scouts: $5 per girl\n\n\n\n\nYouth pre-registered will receive a STEAM Day patch. \n\n\n\nActivities\n\n\n\nMarshmallow Engineering (Hosted by Troop 22): Using mini marshmallows and toothpicks the girls will build 2D and 3D shapes. Girls can also build complex structures and towers! \n\n\n\nInstant Snow (Hosted by Troop 654): Dreaming of cooler weather? Join Troop 654 for a science experiment to make instant snow that will cool you down. \n\n\n\nStatic Electricity (Hosted by Crystal Falls Service Unit): Excite some electrons and learn about static electricity with a balloon and some confetti! \n\n\n\nAlka Seltzer Rockets (Hosted by Troop 78613): When Alka Seltzer tablets are dropped into water\, a chemical reaction takes place\, and bubbles of carbon dioxide gas are released.The gas builds up until there is enough pressure to blow the film canister lid off and propel it into the air. \n\n\n\nDry Ice Special Effects (Hosted by Crystal Falls Service Unit): Discover how you can make some “cool” (pun intended!) special effects for Halloween with dry ice! You’ll see it steam when you add water and then use soap to create smoke-filled bubbles. \n\n\n\nDensity Column Experiment (Hosted by Crystal Falls Service Unit): Stack different liquids with different densities in a tall Glass to visually demonstrate how densities allow objects to sink or float. \n\n\n\nCatapults Away! (Hosted by Crystal Falls Service Unit): Explore how physics and engineering plays a role in the creation of a catapult. Build your own and launch balls at a target to test out your skills! \n\n\n\nDoes Fast Air Mean High Pressure?
