DESCRIPTION:What do you need to do to prepare for this event? \n\n\n\nClick here for more information about World Thinking Day. \n\n\n\nGenerally\, each troop prepares a table display with a display board highlighting facts about the country selected. You can be as creative as you like but this board usually gives facts about Girl Scouts in the region\, foods\, historic landmarks\, etc. Each scout will receive a passport upon check-in so when she visits each country\, they will receive a stamp from that country. So each troop should have a stamp that represents something from that country. Each troop is also asked to present something that they learned from doing research on the country. This can be a well-known game played in that country\, a dance\, a song\, or cool facts that they want to share with all present. \n\n\n\nRegister: Click here to see the spreadsheet of selected countries and to select a country for your Troop. \n\n\n\nFlags for borrowing\n\n\n\nThe Service Unit has a variety of country flags that can be borrowed for use during World Thinking Day. DESCRIPTION:From the City of Leander website: \n\n\n\n\nIn collaboration with the Leander Public Art Commission\, the City of Leander observes and honors the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. with a march and celebration. The march will leave from Camacho Elementary at 11:00am and make their way to Old Town Park where there will be a celebration featuring performances from dancers\, musicians\, choirs\, and spoken word artists. \n\n\n\n\nScouts are invited to participate in the parade. If an entire troop is not able to participate but individual scouts are available\, we can merge scouts into a combined representation from the Service Unit. The parade beings at 11am and will last approximately 30 minutes. DESCRIPTION:Would your troop like to join us at the Bryson amenity center for caroling and Christmas fun? Crystal Falls Service Unit will be attending their tree lighting ceremony on December 2 and we’d like Girl Scouts to come and lead the caroling. There will likely be other activities to lead and/or do\, as well. \n\n\n\nThe event will be 6:30-8:30. Please ensure safety-wise numbers for your girls and plan to manage transportation. Training is required for all Troop Cookie Coordinators to receive information about the upcoming Cookie Season\, including onboarding for new TCCs\, changes for the upcoming year\, and information about booth selections. \n\n\n\nThis session will be in person and will be more geared towards newer TCCs however this will be a great opportunity to meet other TCCs and your cookie team in person as well as have a fantastic brunch while getting your mandatory training completed.

SUMMARY:Fall Campout & Investiture
DESCRIPTION:The CFSU troops come together to enjoy a weekend of fun and fellowship! Most of the weekend is planned by the individual Troops\, however the Investiture & Rededication Ceremony is scheduled for Saturday\, October 22 at 3pm. \n\n\n\nInvestiture is a ceremony that happens once per year to welcome new girls into the organization. The traditional audience is anyone who has not yet learned the Girl Scout Law & Promise\, whether they are 1st-year Daisies or new to Scouting.  \n\n\n\nIn addition to Investiture\, this ceremony will include a Rededication for all returning scouts as a way for the Girls to recommit to the Girl Scout Promise & Law for another year.  \n\n\n\nIn both instances\, this ceremony is very important to the girls and family support is encouraged – Parents and siblings are welcome to attend the ceremony!
