Girl Scout Pinewood Derby events are local racing activities inspired by the traditional Cub Scout Derby. They give girls a fun, hands-on way to build a small car, learn basic engineering and craftsmanship, and enjoy friendly competition.
What it is:
- A local Girl Scout race event, often called a Girl Scout Derby or Powderpuff Derby
- Open to girls across troop levels, from Daisies to Ambassadors
- A creative build-and-race activity that mixes design, problem-solving, and teamwork
