CFSU: Cookie Captains @ Cookie Booths In-Person Overview (D/B)
October 25 @ 5:00 pm – 6:00 pm
As we prepare for cookie season, we want our youngest Girl Scouts to feel supported and confident at cookie booths. Our Cookie Captains are experienced older Girl Scouts who will work alongside Daisies and Brownies, giving them a chance to learn through practice.
With a Cookie Captain by their side, scouts can practice:
- Customer service: Greeting customers, speaking clearly, and thanking them for supporting their troop.
- Cookie math: Tracking inventory, handling simple transactions, and counting change.
- Confidence: Taking an active role at the booth and feeling proud of what they can do.
For troops with first-time booth sellers: Please plan to pair those scouts with a Cookie Captain so they have an older Girl Scout beside them to demonstrate the process and offer encouragement.
